I hike a lot during sunrise. Two weeks ago, I decided to do Makapuu loop trail by going up the ridge on the right side of the lighthouse and then down to the tide pools, around Pele’s chair and then back. I got to the parking lot and realized I didn’t have any flashlight or head lamp. Sadly, I had to take the paved route like everyone else. I ended up at the gym after to wait for my cousins to come down from Kokohead stairs. We had breakfast at Moena Cafe at Koko Marina. Best place to eat breakfast in Hawaii Kai.
